We want you to absolutely love your painting. If something goes wrong, we'll do everything we can to make it right — because your satisfaction means more to us than a quick sale. Read on to understand exactly how we handle returns and refunds.
1. Our Commitment
At Painting Hub, every painting is handcrafted and unique. We pack each piece with great care to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. However, we understand that sometimes things don't go as planned — and in those cases, we're here to help.
2. Eligibility for Returns
You are eligible for a return or refund in the following situations:
- Damaged on delivery: If the painting arrives visibly damaged due to mishandling during transit.
- Wrong item delivered: If you receive a painting that is different from what you ordered.
- Significant misrepresentation: If the painting is materially different from its description in a way that was not disclosed (e.g., size is significantly incorrect).
Please note: Minor colour variation between the on-screen display and the physical painting does not qualify as misrepresentation, as this is inherent to viewing art on digital screens.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
We are unable to accept returns or issue refunds in the following cases:
- Change of mind after purchase or delivery.
- The painting has been handled, damaged, or altered by the customer after delivery.
- Custom or commissioned paintings (where work has already begun). A deposit paid for a commission is non-refundable once the artist has started work.
- Dissatisfaction based solely on personal taste or preference that was not caused by misrepresentation.
- Claims made more than 48 hours after delivery.
4. How to Raise a Return Request
If you believe you are eligible for a return or refund, please follow these steps:

| 2. Contact us within 48 hours | Send us a WhatsApp message or email to hello@paintinghub.in with your name, order details, and the photos. |
| 3. We review your claim | We'll get back to you within 2 business days with our assessment and proposed resolution. |
| 4. Resolution | Depending on the situation, we'll offer a replacement, exchange, or full/partial refund. |
5. Return of Physical Paintings
If a return is approved, we will arrange for a pickup from your address within Mumbai at no additional cost to you. Please ensure the painting is packed securely (ideally in its original packaging) before the pickup.
We are not able to accept returns sent independently by the customer without prior approval from us.
6. Refund Process
Once the returned painting is received and inspected by us, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds will be issued via the same payment method used for the original purchase:
- UPI / Bank Transfer: Refunded directly to the source account.
- Cash on Delivery: Refunded via bank transfer or UPI to a verified account.
We will keep you updated via WhatsApp throughout the refund process.
7. Exchanges
If you'd prefer to exchange your painting for another piece from our collection (where eligible), we're happy to accommodate this. Any price difference will either be paid by you or refunded to you accordingly.
